Very impressive look into the other side of modern day Monarchy. Mirren's actingis superb...v. Oscar deserving....V. v. clever script...funny, moving, and thoughtful. It totally changed my view towards English Monarchy. I used to think of it as an outdated institution full of people who just enjoy their position in life...but it is not...at least not in this film. They need to struggle with the media and pressure from the government... And what's surprising is that the movie is really funny...like sarcastically funny. I loled in many scenes...but I cried in the scenes the Queen got read harsh messages in front of Buckingham...and how thankful she was when she received flower from a kid. The speech scene and thelast scene with Blaire was v. impressive too...One of my belief was confirmed in this film though...whatever you do, never turn against the media...it can be the fastest way to hell indeed.

The Queen: 9.5
